Description:

This sale will include the family home, the rental home, all personal property including a late model Honda Accord, A pickup truck, tractor, round hay baler and much more.  The auction will be held on the property site at 385 Kearney Place in Guntersville, Alabama. In addition Auctions United will be selling three vacant residential lots in downtown Guntersville, just a couple of blocks from the Marshall County Courthouse. The land will be sold in tracts.

The Honda Accord is a 2008 6 cylinder model with leather interior, moon roof and many extras. The truck is a 1987 Chevrolet Silverado regular cab with a v8 engine. Both vehicles run well and appear to be in good shape. The tractor is an International model 684 and runs well. The hay baler is a Vermeer model 605C and appears to be in good condition. There is also a working Bush Hog, several lawn mowers in varying condition and a number of other farm items.

The home furnishings include beautiful china, stoneware, crystal, lamps, living room and bedroom furniture, recliners, pictures, televisions, bookcases, kitchen utensils, and two dining room tables with chairs… Over 100 household items… all going to the highest bidders.

At the end of a long, paved, tree lined driveway is the old home place. The family home and 10 acres sits on the back-side of the farm and features the home, barn and out buildings, and flower gardens around the home. At one time these flower gardens were the award-winning product of Mary Kearney. Her gardens won many awards and made the home a showplace that attracted busloads of visitors. Though time and the passing of the caretakers has dimmed the beauty of the gardens, there are still many blooming flowers still there.

The home itself has a large front porch and a well-kept front lawn. As you view the home be aware that most of the furnishings you will see will also be sold at auction. Inside the front door is a large foyer. To the right is a large sunken, carpeted living room with vaulted ceiling. To the left is a full sized dining room. There is wood molding, door frames, and baseboards throughout the home. Down the carpeted hallway are the three bedrooms and a full, tiled bath with shower and glass shower doors. One bedroom is on the right and has a nice closet. The other is on the left and shares a jack and jill bathroom with the master bedroom at the end of the hall. The bathroom is tiled and has a tub with shower and glass doors. In the large master bedroom you‘ll find ample room for a king sized bed and sitting area. There is a bay window that lets in the light. The closet is in the corner of the room. The kitchen has wood cabinets and a full complement of appliances including an electric stove, dishwasher and refrigerator. There is a stainless steel sink in an island facing the den.

In the den is a brick hearth and fireplace with wood-burning stove insert. There is also a gas heater for supplemental heat. The home has a Rheem central heating and air conditioning system that was installed about a year ago. The roof on the home itself was installed a year ago.

Outside is one of the highlights of this home, the covered patio area and walkway to the garage. There is a well house near the back door that is now unused due to the availability of public water.

The two-car garage has a work area downstairs with a working but unfinished bath with shower. Upstairs is a floored but unfinished living space with glass doors leading to an outside deck and an unusual elevated observation area in the roof. This could be finished or used for storage.

There are several outbuildings including a multi-stall pole barn and storage sheds.

Most of the acreage is open pasture with trees mainly lining the perimeter. All of te tracts have good road frontage.

The rental house will be sold along with two acres. It is presently income-producing property with a long term tenant. It has been very well kept and features two bedrooms and a nice lawn.

All of the property is fenced and has an abundance of road frontage.
